          Shilpa Sharma is a mezzo-soprano and voice teacher based in Toronto. Some of her notable roles include Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Nicklausse/A Voice in Les Contes d'Hoffman. Her performance as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream was said to have "brought down the house" (The Coast). She also originated the role of Nicklausse in the premiere production of the Canadian opera Le Quatrième Enfant-Lune. Shilpa is an avid recitalist, having received a Master's degree from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, specializing in art song and vocal chamber music. She previously completed her undergraduate studies in music and theatre at McGill University.
